My tapestries, embroideries etc Trace Mann

When my sister in law was pregnant with her first child I saw a sampler, and I thought "I will have a go at that".  That started my love of making pictures.  Every time I completed one I took a photo.  I haven't done one for years due to time and having two dogs (I couldn't have needles and thread lying around in case they decide to eat them).  I thought I would share my pictures with you.

I made this for a wedding present for some friends of ours.  It was made using cross stitch.

I made this for my late dad, as he was an avid bowls player.  It was made using cross stitch.

I made this for my daughter when I was pregnant with her.  It was made using cross stitch.

I made this for my late mum as she absolutely loved clowns.  It was made using tapestry stitch.

I made this for myself.  I bought the canvas in the South of France and the wools in England.  It now hangs at the top of my stairs at home.  It was made using tapestry stitch.

I made this for my late mum and dad for their hallway.  It was made using a combination of stitches.  The main picture was printed, and my stitches gave it a 3D effect.

I made this also for my late mum and dad for their hallway.  It was made using a combination of stitches.  The main picture was printed, and my stitches gave it a 3D effect.

I made this for my elderly neighbour.  He loved the countryside.  This was made using a combination of stitches.  The Main picture was made separately from the outer edge and the two had to be married up once I had finished them both.

This was made for my late mum as she adored cats.  It was made using long stitch.

This was made for an old work colleague for her granddaughter, and it was made using cross stitch.

I made this for my son when I was pregnant with him.  It was made using cross stitch.

This was the first sampler I made for my sister in law when she was pregnant with my niece Lauren.

This was the last picture I made.  My late dad won a lottery grant for his bowls club to have a new pavilion built and for the bowls green to be completely renovated.  He saw this sampler in a magazine and asked if I would make it for him.  It was my favourite one of all to make.  It was mainly made using cross stitch, except for the gold thread in the middle.
