A Visitor to our Garden by Jo T

This landed in our garden and was sunbathing for ages! Was about 2" long. Sent pic off ... and reply was "a beautiful female broadbodied chaser Libellula depressa dragonfly".  Apparently the males are better looking with beautiful blue wings etc.  Unfortunately, a magpie swooped 🥴
