How the Admin Team are Coping

Sue S - I think keeping busy has helped me, eating chocolate (way too much) gardening and a good book.

Peta MI have been jogging 3 times a week, I have been following the Couch to 5k app and can now run for 30 minutes - do I enjoy it?  Not really!  What I do enjoy is escaping the house early morning and being outside quiet n the woods and seeing how the countryside has unfolded over the past couple of months.  The trees now have their leaves, some have blossomed and are causing havoc with the hay fever!  The best bit for me is the 5 minute walk cool down walk home, I have a sense of achievement and I know I can take on the day.  One of my lock down socials has been meeting a friend in the queue of our local bakers on a Saturday morning!  I walk to our local bakers which until recently was only open on a Saturday between 9-12 am and meet my friend at a specified time in the queue, there we can chat, socially distancing and catch up on life.  When bread is purchased we go to another friends front garden and have a coffee with her, all socially distancing and chatting about our week.  That chat really does help you realise that we all have our difficult days, we are all going through it together, but we will pull through and there will be better times ahead.

Tracey MOn the whole I am coping well.  Although my husband and daughter have gone back to work, my son is still furloughed so is at home with me.  I do however have the odd down times.  I feel work is disjointed as I am on the rota and only go in on a Friday.  I had a meltdown the other day and my husband was so lovely and talked me through how I felt and I did feel a lot better once I had got it all out of my system, I think I bottled things up for too long and all of a sudden it all came out.  I do find tending to my garden is a big calming tool, and stroking and cuddling my gorgeous dogs. I just hope when September comes we can all be reunited again and we can return to some sort of normality.  I know it won't be the same as it was before we went into lockdown, but I do think that if we are all back together again it will be so much better for my head.
