STRESS BUCKET
Things in lockdown are now very different to what they used to be and how we coped with stress and worry before may not be now a option for us.  We all have to think of different ways or ideas to help us when we are feeling anxious or emotional. I have tried to think of a few things that may help when we are not having a good day.

EXERCISE - we all know that exercise is good for us but maybe try a new or different exercise that we haven't tried before.  There are lots of you tube videos you can follow for free from yoga to kick boxing.

MUSIC/SINGING - everyone has got some genre of music they like. Try putting on your favourite album, dance round the kitchen or sit and chill whatever works for you when you listen to music you enjoy.

CONNECT WITH PEOPLE - talk to family, friends or colleagues. Don't be afraid to share your worries.  Our own wellbeing at this moment in time is very important and sometimes just sharing your worries make it easier to deal with.
*** REMEMBER - SOCIAL DISTANCING does not mean you have to EMOTIONALLY DISTANCE yourself **

STAY HEALTHY  - sleep is very important.  Try to make sure you get enough sleep as this will help with stress and anxiety. If you are stressed and not sleeping well try a relaxation technique that works for you. Sometimes we also forget to eat properly or just grab something quick, try to plan your favourite meals to cook or try new recipes that you have been meaning to cook but never got round to.

HOPE BOX/BOOK -  try to think of a few things that you "hope" to do in the near future so you have something to look forward to. This could be a place you really want to visit for a holiday, friends/family that you are missing and can't wait to see again, things you want to improve in the home/garden. When you are feeling a bit stressed you can look at the things you have thought of and this might make you smile.

HAPPY PLACE - we all have a favourite pastime or place that makes us happy. It could be going to the beach, walking round the park, painting drawing, music etc. Think of your happy place and pretend to be there.

****  BE PATIENT AND KIND TO YOURSELF ***    😊❤️
